We had so much fun at our "Old Fashioned Christmas Family Talent Show"! I just loved watching the families play music together. The students and their families did an amazing job!!
After the talent show, I introduced my special guest, Johann Sebastian Bach. This however became a game. The families had to get together and find all the clues to complete his life story and then they had to guess who the composer was. Of course, he spoke German, so they could not ask him any questions. The family who won this game was . Overall this was the favorite activity of the evening.
Then our special guest judged the Gingerbread Houses. All the families did an amazing job on their houses but the two families that won were the Siegesmund Family and the Distel Family.
We had dinner and the food was just delicious! Then we proceeded to the game room and played "Pin the Note on the Treble Clef", "Musical Numbers" and "The Sock Exchange". I do have to say out of all three games, the Sock Exchange was the favorite. There was another thing they had to do with the socks. They got to keep the contents inside but they were instructed to take the socks and fill them with something special and give it to someone in need.
THE WHOLE EVENING WAS A SUCCESS!!
