Welcome - Elementary/Tweens Piano Lessons, Grand Junction

Adventurous Elementary Piano Program, Ages 7-12

This is my biggest program in EverLove Studios and it is a very unique piano music program for tweens and teens that will help your child to develop piano skills for beginners through intermediates.

I use a solid music curriculum that will help your teen to gain piano skills through 5 different levels. I also use games, aural learning, supplemental pieces, notation cards and other instruments to reinforce learning and rhythm in our elementary piano lessons.

Each book is 10 weeks long, music lessons are 45 minutes per lesson.

I also include FREE fun and simple piano supplemental pieces that they can choose from to play throughout the year.

If your tween/teen excels in this program and they need more music to work on, I carry all kinds of exciting and adventurous songs they can play. These books are available for $8.00 each.

If your child has taken the Wunderkeys Primer series and they are moving into Elementary Level 1, I will assess weather they are ready for the Faber series or the Wunderkeys fast track program.

If your child has completed level 3, I will asses whether they should continue on to levels 4 and 5 or move into my advanced program.

tuition and payments

TUITION:

Lessons are 45 minutes long Tuition + Books along with Free Sheet Music - $20.00 per lesson

There are 3 ways to pay:

1. Make weekly payments of $20.00 per lesson.

2. Make monthly payments of $80.00 (4 x $20.00)

3. Pay by the quarter of $180.00 (9 lessons x $20.00)

Supplemental Books are $8.00. Supplemental Pieces are FREE.

If you have more than 1 child in my studio, you will receive a 12% Family Discount

Payments at my studio can be paid in weekly payments or in full with Cash, Check, Credit or Debit Card. Make checks payable to EverLove Studios.

I use drum beats and the metronome to help with rhythm and strumming patterns

Dates:

Pick the month, day and time you want to start your lessons on the registration form. We meet once a week and your lessons will go 10 weeks from the day you sign up. If the day and time you pick is filled then we will let you know. Have a second day and time in mind. See my Lesson Schedule for dates to pick from.

Level 1 Series

This Series Introduces:

all the notes of the grand staff
Elementary chord playing
The concept of tonic and dominant notes
Students play in varied positions, reinforcing reading skills and recognizing intervals through the 5th
and much more...
I will be using the 4 correlated books in this series.

If your child has completed the Wunderkeys Primer series, I will assess whether I can offer them the Faber piano series or the Wunderkeys fast track program.

LEVEL 2A - LEVEL 5 SERIES BOOKS

Once your child has completed the Primer and Level 1 Books, they can continue Level 2A through Level 5 books. *When registering, type in the appropriate level that your child is on.

These Books Introduce:

C, G, D and A major and minor 5- finger positions
Eighth notes
3/8 and 6/8 time signatures and the triplet
The 7th, one-octave arpeggios
Concepts include the octave, A minor, E minor, and D minor scales (natural and harmonic minor)
Introduction to sixteenth notes
Chord inversions
Sixteenth notes
The three forms of the minor scale
The use of octaves, arpeggios, and dynamic playing across the range of the keyboard
And so much more...

Suplemental Books and Pieces

Supplemental Books: My supplemental books can be played along with the regular lesson books. They will reinforce what your child learns from the correlated books.

The cost of these books are only $8.00 per book. Call to find out how you can get one supplemental book for FREE!

Supplemental Pieces: The supplemental pieces contain only one song and they are FREE. Your child can choose to do any supplemental piece as they are working through their books. I will also be adding my own supplemental piece from time to time.

Together we will choose a final supplemental piece to play at the end of the year.

Compositional Pieces: One of the most exciting things about my studio is your child will have a chance to compose their own piece. This will happen with any age level. This is done to help them understand how a piece is put together and how to determine the sound of a piece.
