Theme: The effects of sound in music
These are just some of the things we will be doing at Summer Camp...
Hands on with unusual musical instruments
Hands on with sound effects in music and in movies - A Little bit of Foley
Teams will learn and create their own musical performance using body percussion, instruments and items from around the house
Watch fun, entertaining short videos of how music creates different emotions with different genres
Fun with Composers - Help the composer create a song
There will be contests between teams
There will be fun games, crafts and snacks

Days: Tuesday May 30 - Friday June 2
Time: 9:00am - 11:30am every day
What to Bring: Wear old clothes, hats, bring water bottles, any special food for allergies or other dietary needs.
Bring one item from home that we can use to make a musical sound. Make it unusual. Examples: Broom, pot, box, stick, trash can lid, bell, whistle, etc. BE CREATIVE!
Cost: $20.00 per family to help cover costs. Pay when you come or pay in advance.
Volunteers: If anyone would like to volunteer to bring snacks, that would be great!
So far I have 3 volunteers to help me run Summer Camp. If anyone else would like to volunteer, please let me know.
