You will receive valuable information about music and what's happening in my studio

Ukulele Lessons for Kids and Adults, Ages 7-99, in Grand Junction, Colorado

Welcome to my "ukulele is fun" program, Grand Junction

History of the Ukulele

The story goes:

- In 1879, Portuguese immigrants arrived after a long journey.

- In celebration, they played a small guitar-like instrument called a machete, and their fingers were moving so fast, the Hawaiians called it the jumping flea...

Take the class to learn the rest of the story.

Ukulele Lessons for Ages 7 and Up

If you or your child has an interest in guitar, then you might want to consider taking this easy Ukulele course first because it is a great introduction to learning the guitar. The Ukulele is easier to play and will help you learn the fundamentals of guitar. It is a great choice for young children who aren't quite ready to play the guitar yet.

Or maybe you just want to play the Ukulele and nothing else. For whatever you reason you have, this course is just for you.

In this class, you or your child will learn the following:

  • The history of the Ukulele
  • The difference between the Ukulele and other stringed instruments.
  • The different types of Ukuleles
  • The strings and how to play them
  • And of course notes, chords, tab, strumming patterns and so much more all while playing a lot of really great songs.

If you want to learn Ukulele with a family member or a friend, then jump on over to my "Family Music Lessons" page and find out more information.
