FAQ's

Q: Do you have to have any musical background to learn music here at EverLove Studios?

A: No musical background is required. I provide an environment that is fun and educational with no pressure where the student can learn at his/her own pace.

Q: Do you have to own your own instrument?

A: Yes.

  1. For Piano Lessons: you do not need to bring your own piano to the lessons but you should have your own piano at home that you can practice with.
  2. For Guitar Lessons: you need to bring your own guitar to the lessons as we do not provide a guitar in the studio.

I give lots of tips on how to buy an electric piano or guitar for a small price. Or you can borrow a piano or a guitar from a friend or family for awhile.

Q: Does the parent need to be at the lessons?

A: Yes and No. If you are the parent of a Mini Musicians or Wunderkeys piano student, you need to be present at the lessons. I prefer if you stay out in the entry way during the lessons so that your child will not be distracted and they can concentrate.

If you are a parent of an elementary child or a teen, you do not need to stay but please make sure you are back to the studio by the end of the lesson.

Q: How involved do I need to be with my child's music education as a parent?

A: I look at learning music as a family adventure. The more you are involved in your child's education of music, the easier it is for them to learn. Help them at home by making sure they practice and do their activity sheets. I have designed it so that you can work on the homework together.

Q: Can the parent ask questions about what their child is learning during the lessons?

A: Absolutely! I encourage parent involvement, even during the lessons. Just as long as it doesn't take away from the lesson time. I love to answer questions that parents have about music because it helps them to help their child. I do periodic online lessons for the parents so that they understand what their child is learning and it gives opportunity for questions.

Q: Can I schedule an appointment to talk with you about mine or my child's music lessons?

A: Yes, you can. Just go to the Appointments page and set up an appointment for music or studio questions. The only available times I have at this time is on Wednesdays and Saturday mornings.

Q: What about sick days or vacation days?

A: If you can't make it to a lesson due to sickness or a vacation, call the studio and we will cancel for that week. We'll continue what we were learning at the next lesson. To make up a lesson, you can do an online lesson or schedule another day during that week. Call me to set up a time.
Our studio is closed during major holidays.
