FAQ's

Q: Do you have to have any musical background to learn music here at EverLove Studios?

A: No musical background is required. I provide an environment that is fun and educational with no pressure where the student can learn at his/her own pace.

Q: What about Amy's musical background.

A: You can find out about me on the "About Amy" page...

Q: Do you have to own your own instrument?

A: Yes.

  1. For Piano Lessons: you do not need to bring your own piano to the lessons but you should have your own piano at home that you can practice with.
  2. For Guitar Lessons: you need to bring your own guitar to the lessons as we do not provide a guitar in the studio.

NOTE: I give lots of tips on how to buy an electric piano or guitar for a small price. Or you can borrow a piano or a guitar from a friend or family for awhile.

Q: Does the parent need to be at the lessons?

A: No. You do not need to be at the lessons. If you choose not to stay, I do ask that you come back 5 minutes before the lesson ends to help your child get things together and that will allow me to discuss things with you if I need to before my next lesson.

Q: How involved do I need to be with my child's music education as a parent?

A: I look at learning music as a family adventure. The more you are involved in your child's education of music, the easier it is for them to learn. Help them at home by making sure they practice and do their activity sheets. I have designed it so that you can work on the homework together.

Q: Can the parent ask questions about what their child is learning during the lessons?

A: Absolutely! I encourage parent involvement, even during the lessons. Just as long as it doesn't take away from the lesson time. I love to answer questions that parents have about music because it helps them to help their child. I do periodic online lessons for the parents so that they understand what their child is learning and it gives opportunity for questions.

Q: Can I schedule an appointment to talk with you about mine or my child's music lessons?

A: Yes, you can. Just go to the Appointments page and set up an appointment for music or studio questions. The only available times I have for appointments is on Tuesdays, all day. You can come into the studio or we can do video chat.

Q: What about sick days or vacation days?

A: If you can't make it to a lesson due to sickness or a vacation, call the studio and we will cancel for that week. We'll continue what we were learning at the next lesson. To make up a lesson, you can do an online lesson or schedule another day within 30 days or you will loose the money you paid for that lesson. You have 2 make-up lessons per Semester. Call me to set up a time or make an appointment.  Read the policy page for further information.

Q: What days is studio closed?

A: Holiday Closures:  My studio will be closed on the following holidays -

Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Weekend, Christmas through New Year's, Spring

Break (In March) and Memorial Weekend.

Final lesson week is May 15th-19th, 2023.

June is an open month if anyone would like to work on music. You pay per lesson.

The studio will close through the month of July and August (Summer Break).
